Business Finland organized a live stream media event for international journalists on May 11th 2021. Four companies presented Finnish know-how in the field of batteries and electrification: Aalto University School of Chemical Engineering, BASF, Fortum, Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. Climate change has created huge global demand for sustainable battery technologies and services. The evolution of battery technologies and electricity production has made it possible to move towards low-emission transportation. In addition to traffic, electrification is progressing in all fields of society. Finland is the only country in the world that can manage the whole battery value chain from minerals to recycling.
