Terms of Service
Effective from 2026-07-05. These Terms of Service govern the use of Innohub services. The processing of personal data is described in a separate Privacy Policy. This English version is a translation; in the event of any conflict, the Finnish version prevails.
1. Parties and scope
The service is provided by InnoVisual Oy, Business ID (Y-tunnus) 3526875-2, VAT ID FI35268752, Välikatu 6, 62900 Alajärvi, Finland. These terms apply to the Innohub.fi website and its related services: InnoRenki with its features (such as customer surveys, presentations and customer relationship management), the Innohub online shop where it is in use, calculators, tools, newsletters, chat widgets, integrations, SSO login, paid subscriptions and free trials or tools.
Where a separate written agreement, order confirmation, DPA, quotation or service-specific schedule has been concluded with the customer, it supplements these terms. In the event of a conflict, a separately signed or accepted customer agreement takes precedence.
2. Account creation and access rights
- Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information and keep their login credentials confidential.
- A user acting on behalf of a company must be authorised to deploy the service and to accept these terms on behalf of that organisation.
- SSO login, passwords and access rights may be used only for the purpose for which they were granted.
- The customer is responsible for the actions, content and access rights of its own users and for ensuring that only lawful and necessary information is entered into the service.
3. Free and paid services
- Free tools, trials and beta features are provided without any commitment as to continuity or availability, unless otherwise specifically agreed.
- The content, usage limits, price, billing period and any support of a paid service are determined by the order confirmation, the price list or a service-specific agreement.
- For business customers, prices are stated exclusive of value added tax and, for consumer customers, inclusive of value added tax, unless otherwise indicated. No Finnish value added tax is charged to a VAT-liable business customer established in another EU member state once the customer’s VAT ID has been verified (reverse charge). Payments may be processed, for example, through Stripe or another named payment service provider.
- A recurring subscription renews in accordance with the selected billing period unless the customer cancels the subscription before the start of the next period or unless otherwise agreed in a separate agreement.
- Any credits, refunds and service credits are assessed in accordance with mandatory law, consumer protection rules and any separately agreed terms.
4. Permitted use
The service may be used only for lawful purposes that comply with the agreement and correspond to the intended purpose of the service. Users must not:
- use the service for any activity that is unlawful, misleading or offensive or that infringes the rights of third parties;
- send spam, malware, unauthorised bulk requests or content that compromises the security of the service or of other users;
- circumvent usage limits, breach security measures, create unauthorised integrations or place an unreasonable load on the service;
- resell, rent out or offer the service to third parties without written permission;
- enter into the service special categories of personal data, full payment card numbers, patient data, data relating to criminal convictions or other high-risk data, unless such processing has been separately agreed and safeguards have been confirmed.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if the use jeopardises the service, breaches these terms or poses a significant risk to us, the customer, other users or third parties. In urgent information security situations, restrictions may be imposed without prior notice.
5. Customer content and rights
The customer retains the rights to its own content, data and materials. The customer grants InnoVisual a limited right to process, store, display, transfer and modify the content only to the extent required for the provision of the service, information security, support, backups, invoicing, error correction or compliance with the customer’s instructions.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that it has the right to use, store and process the content it brings into the service and that the content does not infringe the rights of third parties or violate the law.
6. AI features
- Innohub’s AI features may generate answers, recommendations, summaries, drafts, classifications or other assistive content.
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. The user is responsible for reviewing the output before using it in decision-making, publications, customer communications or dealings with public authorities.
- The service must not be used for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning a person or similarly significantly affects them, unless a separate, assessed and lawful implementation has been put in place for this purpose.
- Customer content is not used to train general-purpose AI models without a separate agreement or consent.
- AI features may use named sub-processors and model services, which are described in the Privacy Policy or in a separate DPA.
7. Data protection and data processing agreement
InnoVisual processes personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Where InnoVisual processes personal data on behalf of the customer, the parties will enter into a data processing agreement where necessary. The customer is responsible for informing its own data subjects, for the legal basis for the processing and for ensuring that the way in which the service is used complies with the customer’s statutory obligations.
8. Service availability, changes and beta features
We aim to keep the service available and secure, but we do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation unless otherwise agreed in a separate service level agreement. We may carry out maintenance, security updates, changes, removals and improvements to the service. Material changes will be notified with reasonable notice where practically possible.
Beta, trial and development-stage features may change, stop working or be removed without separate compensation. They should not be used for critical production purposes without a separate agreement.
9. Intellectual property rights
InnoVisual and its licensors own the software, user interfaces, brands, documentation, templates, workflows and other material forming part of the Innohub service offering, unless otherwise specifically agreed. The customer receives a limited, non-exclusive and revocable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.
10. Termination and return of data
The customer may terminate free use or a paid subscription in accordance with the subscription-specific or service-specific terms. Upon termination of the agreement, the right of use ends and the data stored in the service is deleted or returned in accordance with the agreement, the DPA and applicable legislation. If no technical self-service export is available, a request to export or delete data may be submitted to customer service.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by mandatory law, InnoVisual is not liable for indirect damages, such as loss of profit, business interruption, loss of data, reputational harm or third-party claims, unless the damage is caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence. For paid B2B services, InnoVisual’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the service in question during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the damage, unless otherwise agreed in a separate agreement. For free services, liability is limited to the minimum level required by mandatory law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its choice-of-law rules. The parties will primarily seek to resolve any disagreements through negotiation. Disputes with business customers are settled by the Helsinki District Court, unless otherwise specifically agreed. Consumer customers are entitled to use the remedies available under mandatory consumer protection legislation.
13. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms when the service, legislation, suppliers or our business model change. Material changes will be notified in the service or by email within a reasonable time before the change takes effect, where practically possible. By continuing to use the service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
