Taking a European Company Global and Learnings Along the Way | Celonis & Accel | Slush 2023
Episode details
Episode description
Going global at any time is challenging, but never more so than during a downturn. In this session, Martin Klenk and Harry Nelis will share their insights and tips for software companies preparing to go international. Celonis, the pioneer and global leader in process mining, has not only been adopted by 50% of the world's 200 biggest companies and already delivered $10B+ in value for its customers, it was also declared Germany’s and NYC’s most valuable startup. Growing equally in Europe and the US is challenging, but it’s something the majority of software companies will have to go through if they want to build enduring, category-defining global businesses. Celonis was founded in 2011, bootstrapped for five years and raised its first external investment in 2016. The company used the funds to kick off its global expansion and started in the US and UK. Martin is one of Celonis’ co-founders and CTO, focusing on continuously evolving the software to enable customers to realize value and drive performance. Harry Nelis led Accel’s investment in Celonis in 2016 and has partnered with many European businesses who have scaled globally. Slush is the most founder-focused event on earth delivering actionable company-building advice and bringing together the who’s who in the ecosystem. Want to join us at Slush in 2024?
