Cleantech 2.0 I Slush 2021
Episode details
Episode description
In the early 2000s, the cleantech industry experienced rapid growth as vc-driven investments flowed in. These investments were later on labelled as a failure – hope had gradually turned into hype and the mission was brought to a bitter end half a decade later. Albeit unsuccessful from a financial point of view, the first wave of investments laid the foundation for the next generation of cleantech firms, ones that have the potential to grow beyond seed level. We call this cleantech 2.0. Now, a group of first wave veterans and impact investors will gather together to discuss the key lessons learned from the first wave and what to keep in mind in terms of the second. Hear what Tony Fadell, Brook Porter, Julia Brady and Andrew Beebe think.
