PBS News Hour full episode, Sept. 16, 2026

Wednesday on the News Hour, the Federal Reserve raises interest rates for the first time in three years to combat surging energy costs. We sit down with Cuba's deputy foreign minister to discuss rising tensions with the U.S., including President Trump's threats to invade. Plus, after decades of restoration, a medieval Greek palace reopens to the public. Correction: In the discussion of the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire, we inadvertently showed a photo of former Gov. Chris Sununu instead of his brother, the Republican candidate and former Sen. John E. Sununu. We regret the error.
