Episode description

Trump's first impeachment - 2020 In explaining why she would vote to convict President Donald Trump of the articles of impeachment, Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., said Republicans were denying the facts about Trump’s misconduct. “My vote is a vote to uphold the rule of law and our uniquely American principle that no one, not even the president is above the law,” she said. Senators weighed in Feb. 5 on whether they planned to vote to remove Trump from office later that same day. After the Senate voted last week to bar new witness testimony and subpoenas for documents, Trump’s acquittal has seemed all but assured. The House of Representatives impeached Trump in December on two articles of impeachment--abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
