WATCH: Rep. Crow urges senate to subpoena OMB documents on Ukraine aid | Trump impeachment trial
Episode details
Episode description
Trump's first impeachment - 2020 Rep. Jason Crow, a House impeachment manager, made the case on Jan. 21 for issuing subpoenas for documents from the Office of Management and Budget relating to President Donald Trump’s decision to withhold U.S. military aid from Ukraine. Speaking on the Senate floor during the Trump impeachment trial, Crow, D-Colo., said senators need answers about why Trump withheld the aid. Democrats have alleged the president did so to pressure Ukraine to investigate his political rivals. Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December on two articles — abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The Senate will now decide whether to convict Trump of those charges and remove him from office, or acquit him.
