WATCH: Defense Department has ‘key documents,’ Crow says | Trump’s first impeachment trial
Episode details
Episode description
Trump's first impeachment - 2020 Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., a House impeachment manager, argued for the amendment to subpoena witnesses and documents at the Defense Department. During the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump on Jan. 21, Crow said these documents speak to one of Trump’s particular abuses: withholding aid to Ukraine to further his personal, political campaign. “Without a doubt, DoD has key documents that the president has refused to turn over to Congress,” he said, “key documents that go to the heart of the ways in which the president abused his power.” Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December on two articles — abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The Senate will now decide whether to convict Trump of those charges and remove him from office, or acquit him.
