Episode details
Episode description
Trump's first impeachment - 2020 After a day of hourslong debate, the House of Representatives on Dec. 18 voted to impeach President Donald Trump. The two articles of impeachment charge Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The House vote follows weeks of impeachment hearings in the House that sought to hear arguments for, and against, impeaching the president. Now that the vote has passed in the House, the process will then head for a trial in the Senate, where Republicans have a majority. The Senate has the sole authority to remove the president from office.
