He is a big believer in accurate consumer profiling, marketing technologies, and intelligent automation of the enterprise. Tom holds board seats in Leadoo Marketing Technologies, LoopMe, PassFort, Personalyze, and Thimble, and is excitedly following Tapdaq (Tapjoy), Verto Analytics, Truecaller, and Unacast. Tom’s previous experience includes launching and leading Nokia Interactive Advertising – the leading first-generation premium mobile ad-network. Tom scaled the business from scratch to $50 million in revenues in less than three years, including the acquisition of Boston-based Enpocket Inc. His first encounter with Monty and the MySQL crew happened as co-founder and Managing Partner of Holton Ventures, leading the Series A round in MySQL. Tom is a President of the Finnish Tech Tour 2000, an MBA graduate from Helsinki School of Econ and Business, and holds a military rank of a 2nd Lieutenant (we don’t mess with him..). Natalia Ilmark, Senior Investment Manager, Private Equity, at Skandia Mutual Life Insurance Co. Senior Investment Manager with 15+ years experience working in the financial services industry. 12+ years experience of investing in Venture Capital and Buyout funds globally, and co-investments. Skilled in Private Equity, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Equities, Fixed Income and Capital Markets. Strong finance professional with a Master focused in Finance from University of Stockholm. Sven Lingjaerde, Managing Partner at Reference Capital Sven started his VC career three decades ago at Genevest SA, the oldest private investment firm in Switzerland and spearheaded its evolution into Reference Capital in 2019. Prior to Reference Capital, he co-founded and was Managing Partner of Endeavour Vision SA the leading European Growth Stage Medtech investment firm. Prior to that, he co-founded Vision Capital in 1997, a Trans-Atlantic Venture Capital firm spun-off from Genevest with offices in Silicon Valley and Geneva. In 2004, Sven co-founded Euro Private Equity Advisors, a gatekeeper for Pension Funds focusing on Private Equity investments acquired by Natixis Bank in 2013 and rebranded Flexstone in 2019. Through his leadership, Reference Capital developed an outstanding track record of early to late-stage investments in high tech and biotech private investments on both sides of the Atlantic. Over three decades, Sven has developed an extensive network in Europe and Silicon Valley. This network of contacts was consolidated through his founding of the “Tech Tour” organization in 1998. Since then, this initiative has helped many European scale-up companies to accelerate their international growth. Sven has been recognized for his contribution to shaping the European Tech and Life Sciences ecosystem through a number of industry awards (Time Magazine, Investor AllStars, Innovate Europe). Bjorn Tremmerie, Head of Technology Investments, EIF Bjorn Tremmerie executes and monitors investments in Venture Capital Funds in Europe and is in charge of a portfolio of over 150 European VC funds at the European Investment Fund (EIF). Bjorn is involved with the Dutch Venture Initiative Funds-of-Funds where he is an investment committee member and is also a member of KfW Capital’s Advisory Board. Previous role responsibilities include the management of the European Angel Fund co-investment programme that features more than 100 enrolled Business Angels through which co-investments in start-ups are implemented. Bjorn also previously led the EUR 3.2bn ERP-EIF Dachfonds programme that EIF administers on behalf of the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), an initiative dedicated to the German VC market. Before joining EIF, Bjorn worked for a globally active VC fund.
