Dagmawi Bedilu invites us to rethink play not simply as entertainment, but as a powerful tool for connection, trust, empathy and meaningful moments. Through games and game thinking, he challenges us to let go of the need to always win, be right, or dominate and discover what happens when we choose to play together. One smile. One conversation. One game. Let there be games. Dagmawi Bedilu is an Ethiopian game thinker, tech and innovation consultant, community builder, and serial entrepreneur focused on youth empowerment and meaningful community engagement. A former senior software architect, he transitioned into the world of games and engagement, co-founding initiatives such as Chewata Awaqi, EGA, EnterAfrica, Chewatacon (AGW), and 100Shama. He has spoken at international platforms including Gamescom and A Maze Berlin, and is driven by a mission to inspire joy, creativity, and human connection.
