While XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP typically return only the first matching result, the FILTER function can return every match at once. FILTER can also handle multiple criteria using AND or OR logic, and when combined with CHOOSECOLS, you can control exactly which columns are returned. For larger or more complex datasets, Power Query is an even more scalable alternative. Instead of writing multiple XLOOKUP formulas, you can merge tables using a shared field such as Customer ID, bring in several columns at once, identify unmatched records using anti joins, and even use fuzzy matching when names are similar but not identical.
