Avsnittsbeskrivning
Terrorism scholar Alexander Meleagrou-Hitchens explores the evolution of modern extremism and the ideas that drive political violence. Drawing on his research into jihadism and the far right, he examines the similarities between these movements, how extremist groups turn grievances into narratives of existential threat, and how online propaganda can move individuals from radical ideas to violent action. Alexander Meleagrou-Hitchens is a Senior Research Fellow for the Program on Extremism at The George Washington University. Previously, he was a lecturer in Terrorism and Political Violence at the Department of War Studies at King’s College London and Co-Director of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR).
